According to UNI 998-1, formulated for smoothing rough plaster and insulating panels made of white and graphite EPS, cork, multilayer, or multicomponent. Also suitable for bonding and smoothing cellular blocks. Raso R 140 is a polymer-modified smoothing compound with a fine or medium-fine texture, for interior and exterior use, based on hydraulic binders, selected sands, and specific natural additives. Formulated at the Licata SpA research and development laboratories, it is characterized by easy workability, thixotropy, and wetting properties. The presence of redispersible resins gives the product increased elasticity, adhesion, and resistance to external aggression. Raso R 140 is ideal for smoothing, both internally and externally, traditional or pre-mixed rough plasters and insulating panels (polystyrene, EPS, cork, plywood, etc.), before decorating with paints, mirror finishes, and both synthetic and mineral coatings. Raso R 140 is also certified as a GP mortar according to the UNI EN 998-1 standard.

MAIN FIELDS OF USE

Raso R 140 allows the creation of fine and medium-fine civil texture skimmings on the most common substrates used in construction such as: Insulated panels in EPS, graphite EPS or XPS (only for low skirting boards) - Lime/cement based plasters - Bricks - Cellular blocks - Prefabricated or cast-in-place concrete - Autoclaved aerated concrete - Old paint and coatings as long as they are clean, consistent and well anchored to the substrate. The combination of flow, rheology, and good open time is achieved thanks to the use of latest-generation additives. - Excellent thixotropy: Raso R 140 is characterized by excellent thixotropy and wetting power, making it ideal for both vertical and overhead application. - Fiber-reinforced. The special HT fibers give the product the properties of a continuous reinforcement, increasing its flexural strength, minimizing hygrometric shrinkage and consequently the appearance of crazing and cracks. - Excellent aesthetic finish. The selected aggregates with a constant grain size curve and maximum head < 0.5 mm, < 0.8 mm, and < 1.2 mm make Raso R 140 an ideal substrate for subsequent decorations with paints, mirror finishes, and both synthetic and mineral coatings.
