APPLICATIONS: Applied to foundation walls and roofs of residential and industrial buildings before hot-gluing bitumen-polymer membranes. PRIMER W is particularly suitable for waterproofing in residential areas, where the use of solvent-based products is not recommended. It has good penetrating and consolidating properties on all dry, but also slightly wet, cementitious surfaces. Once applied, it guarantees effective anchoring for the installation of liquid bituminous membranes or bitumen-polymer membranes.

APPLICATION METHOD: It is important that the concrete surfaces to be treated are as dry as possible, free of oils, powders, and other contaminants. PRIMER W is ready to use; simply stir it lightly before application. It can also be diluted with approximately 15-20% water. It can be applied using a brush, roller, or spray gun. Drying times vary depending on the porosity of the concrete, the desired thickness, and the ambient temperature. Polymer-bitumen membranes should be applied to primed concrete only when the latter is perfectly dry. Optimal drying occurs approximately 1-2 hours after application in the best conditions, and even 7-8 hours with thick primer layers, cold temperatures, and a poorly absorbent substrate. Tools can be cleaned with water. Avoid application on cold, damp days or when rain threatens, because the product, being water-based, does not dry and washes away. The product is sensitive to frost. Primer W can also be mixed with class 32.5 R cement, at a ratio of 1.6 powder: 1 Primer W by weight, to create a leveling mortar for correcting any abnormal slopes of the installation surface, for the subsequent installation of waterproofing membranes. During the mixing phase and based on the desired workability, add approximately 2-3% of water by weight of the mixture.

CONSUMPTION Primer consumption depends greatly on the porosity and therefore the absorbency of the substrate. Typically, consumption is 150-250 g/m² per coat on cementitious surfaces, while on metal surfaces it is approximately 100-200 g/m².
