MFT MONO upper face : special “ready-to-paint” sand finish; the uniformly distributed sand incorporated into the bituminous mix allows MFT MONO to be painted immediately after installation. Upon request, a finish with TEX (black non-woven polypropylene fabric, immediately paintable) or HDPE plastic film. MFT MONO MINERAL: self-protection with gray slate chips, available in other colors only upon request.

Lower face: Rapid heat-shrinking polyethylene film for perfect flame or hot air application. For cold applications using adhesives, we recommend using a TEX finish on the lower face.

 

USE AND INSTALLATION MFT MONO and MFT MONO MINERAL (5 mm version) are suitable as a single-layer exposed waterproofing system for residential and industrial roofs. In case of direct exposure to UV rays, we recommend protecting MFT MONO with reflective paint to prolong the life of the waterproofing. MFT MONO MINERAL 4.5 kg is used as a finishing layer, without further protection, in multi-layer waterproofing systems. Depending on the substrate, it can be applied using a torch, cold adhesive, or mechanical fixing. In any case, we recommend preparing the surface to be waterproofed with the bituminous fixative PRIMER W (water-based) or PRIMER S (solvent-based). For cold bonding on concrete surfaces, we recommend using the bituminous adhesive COPERGLUE BASE (horizontal surfaces) or COPERGLUE VERTICAL (perimeter walls and vertical surfaces). For overlaps and other small repairs, we recommend using COPERGLUE JOINT. For cold gluing on insulating panels (polystyrene, polyurethane), we recommend using COPERMAST bituminous mastic. In any case, for proper installation of the membranes, we recommend referring to the Copernit SpA technical documentation.
